A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on your next visit, which is how sites remember things between pages. Similar technologies do the same job by other means: browser storage areas such as localStorage and sessionStorage, databases such as IndexedDB, invisible images used for counting, and techniques that identify a browser by its configuration rather than by anything stored.

- Not used. Nothing is written to it, including within a single visit.

- Not used. No database is created in your browser by this site.
- Tracking pixels
- Not used. There are no counting images, beacons or invisible elements of any kind on these pages.
- Browser fingerprinting
- Not used. Nothing on this site reads your fonts, canvas, screen configuration or hardware details to identify your browser.
- Web fonts and third-party scripts
- Not used. The pages use the fonts already on your computer and one short script served from this site. No font, script, framework, stylesheet, widget or image is loaded from any other server, so reading these pages makes no request to anyone but our own host.
- Server access logs
- Used. Our hosting provider records ordinary web server log entries for requests to this site. This happens on the server and stores nothing on your device.
No analytics, no advertising, no embeds
There is no analytics of any kind on this site, no advertising technology, no social media buttons and no embedded video or map. Nothing sets a session identifier, because there is no session to identify: the site has no accounts and no state.
Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner exists to obtain your agreement before non-essential cookies are set. This site sets none, so there is nothing to agree to. Showing a banner here would ask you to consent to something that does not happen, which would be untrue, and we would rather publish this page than a dialog box.
What does happen when you read a page
Your browser requests the page from our hosting provider, which writes a log entry: IP address, date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. Those logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted or overwritten. That is the entire extent of it, and it is described in more detail in our privacy policy.
The checklists do not remember your ticks
The boxes on the checklist pages are drawn with CSS and are not interactive controls. There is no localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, fingerprinting or pixel behind them. Print the page or keep your own note; the site cannot keep one for you, by design.
After you follow an affiliate link
Some links in the course go to the World of Warships website. Once you follow one you have left barecanvas.online, and the site you arrive at — together with the affiliate network that operates the link — may set cookies or use similar technologies on their own domains, typically to record that the referral came from us. Mimo-mind s.r.o. does not control those, cannot see them, and cannot switch them off on your behalf. Their own cookie and privacy notices are the place to check what they do.
Blocking or clearing cookies generally
Every major browser lets you see which sites have stored cookies and storage, delete them individually or all at once, and block them in future, either everywhere or for particular sites. The controls are usually under a privacy or site-data section of the browser's settings, and most browsers also offer a private window that discards everything at the end of the session. Nothing you do there will affect how this site works, since it stores nothing to begin with.
If that ever changes
If Mimo-mind s.r.o. ever introduces a cookie or any similar technology on this site, this page will be rewritten to describe it before it is used, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before any non-essential cookie is set. We will not make that change quietly.
